"How much does it cost?" is the first question almost every visitor asks, and the honest answer is: it depends, and a lot. Two people getting the "same" treatment can pay very different amounts based on the product used, how many sessions, the area treated, and the clinic.

This guide gives you directional ranges so you're not flying blind, and explains what drives the number. Treat any figure here or online as a reference point only — the clinic gives you the real quote after assessing you.

Section 01

Why prices vary so much

The same treatment name can hide big differences. A "skin booster" could be one of several products at different price points; "laser" covers gentle toning and intensive resurfacing. Add the number of sessions, the area treated, and the clinic's positioning, and you get a wide range for what sounds like one thing.

This is why a single quoted number means little without context. The useful question isn't "what's the price" but "what's the price for this product, this many sessions, this area — and what's included."

Section 02

Directional ranges by treatment

Skin boosters (PDRN/Rejuran-type or HA-based): typically in the low hundreds of USD per session in Gangnam, scaling with the product and number of sessions. Often done as a short course rather than one visit.

Non-surgical lifting (Ultherapy, Thermage, Oligio, Titanium): one of the higher-cost categories. Domestic HIFU devices (Shurink-type) can start in the low hundreds of USD, while branded Ultherapy and Thermage full-face sessions commonly run into the high hundreds to low thousands, depending on the device and the number of shots or lines.

Lasers: the widest range. Gentle toning can be modest per session; fractional or stronger resurfacing costs more, and a course costs more than a one-off. The right laser depends on your concern and skin type.

Every number above is directional and varies by clinic. Use it to set expectations, not as a quote — the clinic confirms your actual price after assessing you.

TreatmentDirectional range (Gangnam, USD)Notes

Directional ranges visitors commonly report in Gangnam, in USD — NOT quotes and NOT clinic-specific. Prices vary widely by product, sessions, area, and clinic; the clinic confirms your actual price. As of 2026 there is no foreign-patient VAT refund on cosmetic procedures.

Section 03

What's often not in the quoted price

A headline price may not include numbing cream or injections, post-treatment products (soothing masks, sunscreen), or the follow-up sessions many treatments need for a visible result. Ask whether these are extra.

Packages can lower the per-session price but commit you to a course — sometimes more than you'll complete during a short trip. If you're only in Seoul briefly, ask what's realistic in your dates before buying a multi-session package.

Section 04

How to compare quotes fairly

Get itemized quotes: product, number of sessions, area, and what's included. Then you're comparing like with like instead of two headline numbers that mean different things.

Be cautious of a price that's far below the typical range — it may reflect a smaller dose, a different product, or a teaser to get you in the door. Cheaper isn't a bargain if it's not the same treatment.

Frequently asked

Frequently asked

How much does a skin booster cost in Seoul?

Skin boosters in Gangnam typically run in the low hundreds of USD per session, scaling with the specific product (PDRN/Rejuran-type vs HA-based) and how many sessions you do. They're often a short course rather than a single visit. This is directional — the clinic confirms your actual price after a consultation.

Is Thermage or Ultherapy cheaper in Korea?

Korea is a popular destination for energy lifting like Thermage and Ultherapy, and prices are competitive, but it's still one of the higher-cost treatment categories. Domestic HIFU devices (Shurink-type) can start in the low hundreds of USD, while branded Ultherapy and Thermage full-face sessions commonly run into the high hundreds to low thousands, depending on the device and the number of shots or lines. The clinic gives the real figure after assessing your skin.

Can foreigners get a tax refund on cosmetic treatments in Korea?

Not as of 2026. Korea used to refund the 10% VAT on cosmetic and dermatological procedures for foreign visitors, but that benefit no longer applies to eligible services supplied from January 1, 2026 (the provision sunset at the end of 2025), so it's not available for 2026 treatments. If an eligible treatment was supplied on or before December 31, 2025 and you received the refund document, a transitional claim window may still apply (claims run three months from the supply date) — check with the clinic. Otherwise, plan as if there's no tax refund.

Are package deals at Korean clinics worth it?

Packages can lower the per-session price, but they commit you to a course you may not finish during a short trip. They're worth it if the plan matches your timeline and goals. If you're only in Seoul briefly, ask what's realistically achievable in your dates before buying a multi-session package.
