What is Rejuran? Korea's PN injectable, its variants and Juvelook

PharmaResearch lists four Rejuran injectables under its medical devices: REJURAN, REJURAN i, REJURAN s and Rejuran HB plus. You may also see the name "Rejuran Healer". We found no injectable registered under that name in Korea's device database; the name appears in the brand site's keywords and in some of its cosmetic product names, so ask which of the four the clinic means. The first three contain polynucleotide only and share one Korean permit with the same approved purpose. The maker's pages we checked do not describe a different use for "s". HB plus is a different formulation: it also contains hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, the registry records it as a drug–device combination, and its Korean approval is specifically for crow's feet.

Juvelook, the name most often compared with Rejuran, is made by VAIM from a different material: PDLLA (a polylactic acid) with hyaluronic acid, supplied as powder in vials labelled by weight. Both are class 4 medical devices in Korea, and both permits use similar wording about temporarily improving facial wrinkles. That shared wording does not make them interchangeable. GIS does not publish Rejuran prices. We have no verified, current Seoul price survey that matches product, amount and areas, and a single number hides what is being bought. Start with the unit. Rejuran is counted in syringes measured in mL, which is the same unit as cc, but the syringes are not all the same size: the maker packs REJURAN as two 2 mL syringes, while REJURAN i, REJURAN s and HB plus come as single 1 mL syringes. "One syringe" of REJURAN and "one syringe" of REJURAN i are therefore different amounts.

Juvelook is counted differently: VAIM labels each vial by the weight of powder it holds, from 30 mg to 200 mg depending on the variant. A price per mL of Rejuran and a price per vial of Juvelook are not measuring the same thing, so keep each quote in its own units. The maker also describes an authenticity check for Rejuran: a DOT® label inside the box, a QR code on the back of the box and an NFC tag on the blister. You can ask to see the package.

The Rejuran injectables list sodium polynucleotide (PN) as their ingredient. PN is often confused with PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide): a 2025 review describes PN as made of longer DNA fragments and PDRN of shorter ones, and another review notes that the two names are often used interchangeably, which causes confusion. PharmaResearch itself lists its PDRN injections as prescription drugs, separately from the Rejuran medical devices. If a menu or article calls Rejuran a PDRN injection, ask which product is meant.

Rejuran-branded skincare is a third thing. The maker labels these serums, creams and ampoules as cosmetics; their ingredient lists show hydrolyzed DNA or c-PDRN, and they are applied to the skin, not injected. That includes the "Rejuran Synergy Skin Booster", which is spread onto the skin despite its name, and the brand's US site, which is a skincare store. The difference you can check is the ingredient. An HA booster is hyaluronic acid. REJURAN, REJURAN i and REJURAN s are polynucleotide. Rejuran HB plus contains both, plus lidocaine, so "Rejuran or HA" is not always an either-or. Which one, both or neither fits your concern is a clinical question that the ingredient list does not answer.

Neither is a filler or a botulinum toxin; those are different product categories. If a clinic proposes combining products, ask which exact products, in what amounts, and why.

None of the maker or registry pages we checked gives a session count or interval we could verify, so this guide does not suggest one. A clinic proposes a plan after examining you. If you are visiting Seoul for a short trip, ask how many visits the price includes, what is realistic within your dates, and what happens if a plan cannot be finished before you leave.

Before you book, ask: Which exact product and amount are planned? Is numbing used, and with what? What reactions should I expect, and how do they fit my event and flight dates? What aftercare applies? Who answers my questions after I fly home? A clinic that answers these plainly gives you something you can compare.

Because "Rejuran" spans several products and the injection is a medical procedure, the clinic and the consultation matter more than the brand name alone. Confirm you are at a licensed medical clinic where a doctor consults with you and performs or directly supervises the injection, not a counselor selling a package. Ask which product they use, why that one for your area and concern, and the total cost in writing before you commit.

Clinics that recruit foreign patients must register with the government under Article 6 of Korea's foreign-patient attraction act, and Medical Korea publishes the list. Registration is a status you can check, not a quality rating; our clinic verification checklist explains how to use it. The maker says Rejuran is made from salmon, so mention any fish or seafood allergy. Rejuran HB plus contains lidocaine, so mention any reaction to local anaesthetics. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding or any active skin infection too; whether to go ahead or wait is their decision.
